DAVE 3.1 public beta

DAVE 3.1 public beta

For Immediate Release:
Thursby Software Systems offers public beta of DAVE 3.1

October 22, 2001, Arlington, Texas. Thursby Software Systems announces the
public beta test of the newest version of its popular DAVE software. This
new version, DAVE 3.1, works with Mac OS X version 10.1 as well as Mac OS
8.6-9.2.

"Probably the biggest change our OS X customers will notice is the addition
of support for inkjet printing." Said Warren Witt, vice president of
Thursby Software Systems. "That's something our market has been asking for.
Of course, OS 9 customers will appreciate new features as well. For both
operating systems, we now support files of more than two gigabytes and file
names longer than 31 characters."

DAVE 3.1 is scheduled for release early in November. It will be offered as
a free upgrade for customers currently using DAVE 2.5.2 and for those who
have a support contract. Customers using older versions of DAVE can get the
upgrade for $89.95 US. The retail price of DAVE 3.1 will be $149.00.

Customers who would like to test the public beta version of DAVE 3.1 may
register at www.thursby.com.

Thursby Software Systems has been developing, supporting and marketing a
wide variety of file share and print share software solutions since 1986.
In addition to DAVE, Thursby products include MacSOHO, TSStalk and MacNFS.
