Casio introduces new WXGA projector

Casio America, Inc. announced today the release
of a new Super Slim projector model featuring
WXGA (1280 x 800) native resolution, bringing
widescreen presentations to your business or
classroom. The XJ-S43W model is part of Casio's
Super Slimä family featuring DLP projection
technology and designed for high brightness
applications and portability.

The next generation of projectors in the Super
Slimä family will be on display at Casio's Booth
# 2949 at the InfoComm Show that opened today in
the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando,
FL.
Building on the successful Super Slim projector
family and maintaining the industries slimmest
profile*, Casio has added WXGA resolution while
achieving 2,500 ANSI lumens output. This
brightness improvement, versatile 2X power zoom
lens and addition of WXGA native resolution
allows the Super Slim projector to be used in the
boardroom and classroom with ease. The new Super
Slim projector will provide traveling and
in-house business executives, as well as
educators, with advanced applications that can
support their diverse needs.

The installation of a Casio Super Slim projector
in any facility--boardroom, office, classroom or
lecture hall is seamless.

Widescreen display formats have become the
standard format in everyday electronics and the
majority of notebook PC's and televisions are
sold in widescreen format. Now for the first
time, Casio's Super Slim projectors can match
these products' display format.

The XJ-S43W comes equipped with an HDMI input
(High Defninition Multimedia Interface) providing
direct digital connectivity with many Notebooks
now shipping with HDMI outputs as well as
compatibility with HD Video formats. In addition
to Wide Screen notebooks, HD video sources like
Blu-Ray players, cable converter boxes and gaming
systems can be connected to the Super Slim
projector.

"Casio is thrilled to introduce this new addition
to the Super Slim projector line," said Frank
Romeo, Vice President of Casio's Business
Projector Division. "Business Professionals use
and view content in 'Wide screen' format everyday
and a WXGA resolution projector gives our
customers the resolution and format they demand."

The new models will also support connectivity for
control through RS-232 and will be compatible
with Crestron, Extron, and AMX products. All
models are equipped with wide-angle 2X power zoom
providing the highest magnification in a data
projector, enabling projection from short
distances of 2.8 feet and can reach a total of 30
feet. Boasting the world's thinnest body*,
Casio's Super Slim measures only 1.26" at its
thinnest point with an overall thickness of
1.69".

The XJ-S43W model will be available through
Casio's authorized Pro AV Dealers and Resellers
with a planned $999 MSRP. For more information
