Blackmagic Design to demo three new video capture cards

Blackmagic Design (http://www.blackmagic-design.com/) will showcase
their new product line -- including the DeckLink HD Extreme, DeckLink
Studio and DeckLink SDI -- for the first time to the broadcast and
post production industries at Broadcast Video Expo 2009. The complete
Blackmagic Design product line will be at Blackmagic Design's stand
located at G14.

The DeckLink HD Extreme (US$995) is the a capture card that features
SDI, HDMI and analog component, NTSC, PAL and S-Video capture and
playback, combined with Dual Link 3 GB/second SDI technology and
hardware down conversion. With SDI, HDMI and analog video capture and
playback, combined with both balanced analog and AES/EBU digital
audio, DeckLink HD Extreme lets customers connect to all decks,
cameras and monitors. DeckLink HD Extreme instantly switches between
SD and HD video.

With built in 3 Gb/second SDI, DeckLink HD Extreme can also instantly
switch to full resolution 2K feature film editing, according to the
folks at Blackmagic Design. DeckLink HD Extreme also includes
built-in hardware down converter so users can monitor both SD and HD
at the same time during playback and capture.

DeckLink Studio ( $695) features SDI and enhanced analog connections:
SDI, analog component, S-Video and composite video, Plus, it has a
built-in hardware down converter and four channels of balanced analog
audio, eight channels of SDI audio and two channels of AES/EBU
digital with sample rate converters. DeckLink Studio lets you move
between SD and HD workflows. It also has RS-422 deck control and
blackburst and tri-sync reference input.

DeckLink SDI ($395) sports 10-bit SD/HD-SDI capture and playback.
It's designed for use with SDI decks, or in large facilities with SDI
routers. The DeckLink SDI has SD/HD-SDI capture and playback. The
10-bit SDI video card works in both SD and HD and includes
blackburst, tri-sync reference input, eigh channels of SDI embedded
audio and RS422 deck control.
