Blackmagic Design announces new, updated products at IBC show

Blackmagic Design (http://www.blackmagic-design.com) made several
announcements today at the IBC show in Amsterdam.

The company announced DeckLink Studio, a new model capture card
designed as a replacement for standard definition cards, with
increased analog connectivity for older analog equipment as well as
SDI/HD-SDI and HDMI connections for the latest cutting edge digital
equipment. DeckLink Studio 2 replaces current model DeckLink Studio
and adds 10 bit HDMI capture and playback for the same price of
approximately US$721.

Blackmagic also announced the HDLink Pro DisplayPort (US$495), a new
model of the popular HDLink Pro monitoring converter range that
allows new low cost deep color DisplayPort computer monitors to be
used for SDI monitoring. It supports 3 Gb/s SDI for twice the SDI
data rate than normal HD-SDI while retaining full compatibility with
regular HD-SDI and standard definition SDI equipment. 3 Gb/s SDI is
required for new video standard support, such as 1080p50,
1080p/59.94, RGB 4:4:4 video using a single BNC type connection, or
2K via SDI for high resolution real time 2048 x 1556 feature film
editing.

Blackmagic Design also announced the immediate availability of
DeckLink 7.3 with loads of features for the video professional.
DeckLink 7.3 is a free update and available for download now to all
DeckLink customers for Mac OS X 10.6, Windows and now Linux.

Finally, the company announced a new lower price on its Studio
Videohub 3 Gb/s SDI router with 16 x 32 SDI routing, 16 x 16 RS-422
deck control, full SDI re-clocking all in a compact design less than
one inch thick. It's available now for $2,995.
