Black Cat Systems Releases MultiMode OS X 5.6.1

WESTMINSTER, MD (March 2, 2006) - Black Cat Systems announces the release
of MultiMode OSX version 5.6.1, a program for radio enthusiasts to send and
receive various digital transmission modes. It also also useful to sailors
and other mariners, for receiving weather maps and forecasts.

This update to MultiMode fixes several bugs related to SSTV (Slow Scan TV)
mode.

Complete information about MultiMode OSX and downloads may be obtained from
http://www.blackcatsystems.com/software/multimodeOSX.html

MultiMode is an application which allows your Macintosh to decode and
transmit several different modes of non-voice communication often heard on
shortwave and ham radio. It is the only program of its kind for the
Macintosh, rivaling commercial packages for the PC platform costing hundreds
of dollars. It is ideal for amateur radio operators, shortwave radio
listeners, and other radio enthusiasts.

MultiMode allows you to decode and display morse code, RTTY, FAX, SSTV,
ACARS, PSK31, and many other modes on your Mac, without any extra hardware.
MultiMode now also allows you to transmit in most of the modes of
operation. A lite version is also available which decodes CW, RTTY, and
weather fax modes, which is ideal for the sailor and boating enthusiast.

MultiMode Lite is also available, which offers reception of CW, RTTY, and
FAX modes only. MultiMode LIte is ideal for sailors who need to be able to
view weather charts and reports, but don't need the extra modes, or
transmit capability.

In the past, dedicated hardware, often costing hundreds or thousands of
dollars, was necessary to demodulate and decode these transmissions. Today,
you can use the processing power of your Macintosh to decode and display
these modes, without any hardware. Just connect your radio's speaker output
to your Mac's microphone input, and you're ready to go.

MultiMode supports the following modes:

PSK31
Packet (300 and 1200 baud)
SSTV (Slow Scan TV)
ACARS (Aircraft Communications)
RTTY (Baudot and ASCII)
WEATHER / SATELLITE FAX
