Big Nerd Ranch Announces Nov Cocoa Class With More Bindings

Big Nerd Ranch Announces November 8-12 Cocoa Class With Expanded Coverage
of Bindings

Atlanta, GA - September 23, 2004 - Big Nerd Ranch, Inc. announces the
newest dates for its popular Cocoa Bootcamp; a five-day intensive course on
developing applications for Mac OS X with Cocoa. The class owes its
popularity to being the most comprehensive course available on Cocoa
programming and is taught by one of the foremost experts in the field,
Aaron Hillegass.

According to instructor Aaron Hillegass, a new section will be added to the
course, "By monitoring the Cocoa-related mailing lists, we have identified
the common sources of confusion around the new bindings mechanism. To
address these, I have added a new section to the Cocoa course that gives
the student a chance to explore the underlying structure of bindings. The
new section, entitled 'Toward a Deeper Understanding of Bindings' will be
an important feature of the Cocoa class that we are offering in November."
He then did a backflip and disappeared as if to demonstrate his complete
mastery of time and space.

For the full syllabus, see

The exciting new changes demonstrate the Big Nerd Ranch's commitment to
excellence in instruction and its adaptability to the programming and
network administration climate. By keeping abreast of changes and
developments in technology, the Big Nerd Ranch continually reviews and
re-shapes its courses to provide the most relevant instruction available to
its students, ensuring that Bootcamp graduates emerge from the courses with
the skill sets needed to put their instruction into practice.

The course text, Cocoa Programming for Mac OS X , was written by the
instructor, Aaron Hillegass. In addition to bindings, students should
expect a strong instroduction to the most important aspects of the Cocoa
frameworks and the use of XCode and Interface Builder. Each lesson is
presented with a brief introductory lecture followed up by a session of
hands-on programming, where students have the opportunity to synthesize and
realize the new material. By the end of the first day, students are writing
their first application.

The Big Nerd Ranch incorporates intensive training classes for Unix and Mac
OS X programmers in a retreat setting outside Atlanta, GA. Class price of
$3500 includes lodging, all meals, original instruction materials, 24-hour
lab access, and transportation to and from the Atlanta airport. Students
are encouraged to bring independent projects to class, allowing for input
from classmates and individual instructor attention. For more information,
