RAD/RDBMS environment and 4D WebSTAR Server Suite, today announced the
immediate availability of 4D WebSTAR V v5.3, including updated 4D WebMail
Pro with support for iCal, radically improved search indexing technology,
more flexible security, and more. The new 4D WebSTAR V v5.3 is an update to
the 4D WebSTAR V Server Suite comprised of a high-performance Web server,
Email server, 4D WebMail interface, FTP server, WebDAV server and Search
engine. Available immediately from (http://www.4D.com/) 4D WebSTAR V v5.3
is free for all registered users of 4D WebSTAR Server Suite V for Mac(R) OS
X, and requires Mac OS X v10.2 "Jaguar" or later.

4D WebMail Pro now integrates with Apple's popular iCal calendaring
application. WebMail users can now conveniently display, publish and
subscribe to iCal personal calendars and shared group calendars. 4D WebSTAR
V v5.3's Search engine uses completely new underlying indexing technology
for search results with a high level of accuracy and relevance to the
end-user. The new indexing technology in version 5.3 also adds support for
accented characters.
The new Security Plug-in in version 5.3 combines configurable
Authentication and Allow/Deny realm protections for a more granular and
exacting level of protection. Now, different security controls for user
access in and outside the office can be set with a simple GUI interface.
Several other performance improvements, bug fixes and enhancements make the
4D WebSTAR V v5.3 update faster, more reliable and more flexible than ever.

4D WebSTAR v5.3 is available today as a free update to users of 4D WebSTAR
V. Licenses for 4D WebSTAR V are priced at $399. Upgrades are available at
$199 for current registered users of WebSTAR v4, and $299 for current
registered users of WebSTAR v3. Cross-grades are available to Mac OS X
