announced 4D v6.8 with support for Mac(R) OS X and Windows(R) XP. 4D v6.8
is a free upgrade for all currently registered 4D v6.7 developers and for
developers who purchase and register 4D v6.7 by April 30, 2002. 4D v6.8
will be available for download on Wednesday, April 17, 2002, directly from
(http://www.4D.com/68/). The new 4D v6.8 allows current customers to
migrate their 4D applications without modifying any underlying code,
includes an integrated TCP/IP network component, new contextual menu
interface, and more.

New in 4D v6.8
Carbonized for Mac OS X and certified for Windows XP, 4D v6.8 takes full
advantage of both operating systems, and runs identically on both Macintosh
and Windows environments. New features in 4D v6.8 include a new contextual
menu in the methods editor for single-click insertion of methods, fields,
and commands, easier plug-in administration, and new commands and
constants. Newly reinforced security in 4D v6.8 protects component code and
makes deployment easier. New integration of the TCP/IP component in 4D v6.8
further simplifies administration. New user interface enhancements include
floating, dockable toolbars under Mac OS X, support for the Apple Viewer
for online help menus on the Mac, and follows all Aqua and Windows XP look
