nova media offers support for mobile Internet connections in South Africa

nova media (http://www.novamedia.de) has launched support for South African mobile networks with its 3G connection manager launch2net Premium and 3G surfsticks.

launch2net Premium now includes connection settings for the South African networks Cell C, MTN, Rentafone, Virgin Mobile as well as VodaCom. All nova media 3G surfsticks support the 900 and 2100 MHz frequency range used in South Africa and come bundled with launch2net Premium in a version for Macs.

launch2net Premium can share a 3G modem connection using its Mobile Hub technology. Mobile Hub turns a Mac into a Wi-Fi hotspot and allows other WLAN devices to log into the new network just like any other Wi-Fi network. Mobile Hub features a blacklist to deny access and offers WEP 128-bit security. In addition, launch2net Premium offers a connection statistics and a SMS text message manager.

launch2net Premium is available today for download at nova media's web site for approximately US$49.90. 3G surfsticks are available from approximately $155 (plus shipping and handling), already including one license of launch2net Premium.
