New QuarkXPress Maintenance Program offers free upgrades

Quark (http://www.quark.com) has launched its new QuarkXPress Maintenance Program that offers customers access to unlimited priority technical support, the opportunity to upgrade from any previous version to QuarkXPress 8, and the option to receive any upgrades during their maintenance periods, free of charge.

The QuarkXPress Maintenance Program is available to new customers who purchase QuarkXPress 8 or to existing users who upgrade to version 8. To mark the launch of the new program, Quark has also launched a special offer, until June 30, that enables anyone that has already purchased QuarkXPress 8 since Feb. 1 to also purchase QuarkXPress Maintenance.

“The QuarkXPress Maintenance Program is a great opportunity for creative professionals who are using earlier versions of QuarkXPress to upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 and protect their investment for up to two years with free future upgrades," says Gavin Drake, Quark marketing director. "Keeping up with the latest developments and market trends is key for designers and at Quark we understand that this can be a challenge in difficult economic times. We want our customers to get more value than ever from QuarkXPress. When users upgrade to QuarkXPress 8 they can also make the most of the $750 worth Flash resources that can be download for free from http://www.quark.com/magic ."

The Quark Maintenance Program can be purchased from any Quark Authorized Reseller, Quark Store or Quark Direct at the price of US$149 for 12 months and $249 for 24 months. It's only available to users with the latest version of QuarkXPress (currently version 8) at purchase or within 90 days of purchase. Users can also upgrade from QuarkXPress 3, 4 and 5 (as well as 6 and 7) providing they take out QuarkXPress Maintenance at the same time as their upgrade purchase. Current QuarkAssurance and ServicePlus agreements will continue until their expiration dates, at which point those customers should contact Quark customer service to discuss migrating to QuarkXPress Maintenance instead.
