  16. Technical Bulletin TB.P.263 describes a conflict between the IBM
  17. PS/2 Enhanced 80386 Memory Expansion Option and the cold boot
  18. loader of NetWare v2.x operating systems wherein the NetWare cold
  19. boot loader and the IBM Memory Expansion Option software are each
  20. placed on track 0 of the file server's bootable fixed disk when
  21. they are installed.  According to TB.P.263, the only solution to
  22. this conflict was to load all software on a bootable floppy
  23. diskette and use that diskette to boot the file server.

  25. A NetWire patch (IBMMEM.ZIP) was subsequently released which
  26. corrected the conflict for NetWare v2.1x operating systems. 
  27. Technical Bulletin TB.P.289 mentions this fact and further
  28. describes the above conflict in the context of NetWare v2.2
  29. operating systems.

  31. SOLUTION:
  32.  
  33. A patch now exists which corrects this conflict for both NetWare
  34. 2.1x and NetWare 2.2 operating systems.  This patch is also called
  35. IBMMEM.ZIP and replaces the previously released IBMMEM.ZIP, which
  36. corrected the problem only for NetWare v2.1x.  IBMMEM.ZIP is
  37. located on NetWire in downloadable library 8.
