Subject: Sri Lankan Recipes (Fried Potetoes)
Here is a Sri Lankan Recipe, for your collection.
Fried Potatoe
Ingredients
+ 1lb of Potatoes.
+ 1 Small cup of Milk.
+ 1/2 tsp of ground turmeric, corriander, cumin , cin-
namon and cloves.
+ 1-2 Tbsp of fresh chile powder.
+ 1 tsp of salt.
+ 1 Large Onion.
+ 1. Tbsp of sugar (optional, depending on the chile
powder).
+ 2 Small garlic cloves.
+ Oil or Margarine for frying.
1 Boil potatoes until fully cooked. Peel and cut into
small pieces.
2 Mix potatoes, turmeric, corriander, cumin , cinnamon,
cloves, chile powder , salt and sugar in a mixing bawl.
Add milk and mix them thoroughly.
3 Slice onions and garlic.
4 Fry onions in a frying pan, and add garlic.
5 Add the potato mixture into the pan and cook for 4-5
minutes.
