  15. This easy recipe for raised waffles comes from the Betty Crocker cookbook.

  17. 1 package active dry yeast
  18. 1/4 cup warm water
  19. 1 3/4 cups lukewarm milk (scalded then cooled)
  20. 2 tablespoons sugar
  21. 1 teaspoon salt
  22. 3 eggs
  23. 1/4 cup butter or margarine, softened
  24. 2 cups all-purpose flour

  26. In large bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add remaining ingredients;
  27. beat until smooth. Cover; let rise in warm place 1 and a half hours.
  28. Stir down batter. Cover again; refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.

  30. Stir down batter. Pour onto center of hot waffle iron. Bake about 5
  31. minutes or until steaming stops.
