VELVET CHOCOLATE PIE/TART FILLING
Melt and cool: 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate
Cream well: 1/2 c. butter
Gradually add: 3/4 c. white sugar
Cream butter and sugar well then beat in cooled chocolate
Beat in: 1 tsp. vanilla
Beat in: 2 eggs, 1 at a time, beat 5 minutes after each
Pour into baked, cooled pie or tart shells.
Optional toppings: shaved semisweet chocolate
toasted, slivered almonds
chopped walnuts or pecans
whipped cream
