Birdshot

Looks like BBs or randomly scattered dots.

How Does It Work?

The Density parameter sets the number of shots in a given area.  The shots that make up this component are arranged into groups.  When Density is set to 0%, the first group of shots will be visible.  As Density increases, the next group of shots will appear and start to grow.  Once the group of shots reaches maximum size, they will stop growing and a new group of shots will appear. The groups reach maximum size at specific Density values (0, 10, 20, etc).

A Shot_Size of 0% will eliminate a shot. A Shot_Size of 100% is maximum, but there will still be gaps between the shots (especially at lower densities).

In spherical mapping mode, there is some distortion at the top and bottom of the sphere.

The default Blend_Function and Bevel_Profile are rounded linear functions. Each shot is a different region.

Hints!

Connecting the Blend_Function to a Sine_Wave changes the shots into circles or cell-looking spots. Try a Sine_Wave with a frequency of "4.5" and a phase of 25%.  The phase of the Sine_Wave can be animated to give a looping animation.
