Components that have clearly defined regions usually have a Sampling Options parameter that you can use to align a child texture with these regions. There are three options available: Normal, Recenter, and Single Sample. The Normal option basically does nothing. When set to Normal, the Component will act like all other DarkTree components that do not have a Sampling Options parameter. The Recenter option transforms the child texture so that it is centered in each region of the texture. Single Sample works by taking a only a single sample of the child texture at the center of each region. This can be quite useful for making mosaic tiles based on a picture. Figure F1 shows examples of these three different Sampling options. |
