DeviceMaster PRO/RTS/Serial HubConfiguring Modbus Server Ports

You can access the Modbus Server web pages to configure port attributes using a web browser or through PortVision DX.

Note

Make sure that the DeviceMaster (DeviceMaster PRO, DeviceMaster RTS, or DeviceMaster Serial Hub) contains the latest version of Modbus Server before setting up the ports.

Web Browser

  1. Open a web browser.

  2. Enter the IP address of the DeviceMaster that you want to configure.

  3. Click the port for which you want to configure port settings.

    For port configuration information see the Modbus Server User Guide.

  4. Click Save to return to the main page.

  5. You are now ready to connect the serial devices to the DeviceMaster ports. Open the DeviceMaster Installation and Configuration Guide if you need cabling information.

PortVision DX

PortVision DX provides access to the Modbus Server web page using the WebPage button.

  1. If necessary, start PortVision DX, right-click the DeviceMaster in the Device List pane that you want to configure, and click WebPage.

  2. Click the port for which you want to configure port settings.

  3. Click Save to return to the main page.

  4. You are now ready to connect the serial devices to the DeviceMaster ports. Open the DeviceMaster Installation and Configuration Guide if you need cabling information.
