How to filter devices by MAC or IP

You may want your data sources filtered. One of the ways you can have them filtered is by MAC or IP address.

Prerequisite(s):

Ensure your address book is current by completing the steps in “How to update the address book” .

1.	Choose Organization Group > Business Groups tab.

2.	Right-click a business group and choose Edit. The Edit Business Group window appears.

3.	In the Selected Data Sources area, expand the tree and select a monitoring instance.

4.	Click the Instance Filters and Routers button. The Instance Filters and Routers dialog appears.

5.	Select Create or Edit Instance Filters, then click OK. The Instance Filters window appears.

6.	Click New. The Address Filter window appears.

7.	Choose an address type, range, and specify addresses.

8.	Choose the fields to which you want the address filter.

After completing this task:

After you have finished adding probe instances and devices to the Business Group, click OK from the main setup dialog to save changes and return to the Business Groups tab.
