APDL can supply any new models offered by any of the main manufacturers of RISC OS machines. However, unless you have a good reason for preferring to buy through us it's normally better to get a new machine directly from the manufacturer.

RiscPC second slice

Second slice for RiscPC, complete with 4 slot backplane and longer locking pins.
We can supply these for just £38 plus £8 UK carriage if you agree to return your old 2 slot backplane and locking pins, otherwise the price is £47. If ordered with a machine the price is just £25 and carriage is included in the carriage cost for the computer.

Secondhand computers

We usually have a variety of secondhand machines in available. If you don't see what you want please ask as we can build a machine to your requirements, bigger hard drive, more RAM, Strong ARM processor, etc.

As well as the ones shown below we often have older machines such as A400, A540, A3000, A5000, etc. Some of these are in good working order, some not but suitable for spare parts. If you need a floppy drive, keyboard, power supply, whatever, for an old Acorn computer we just might have one.

• RiscPC 600.   All with CD ROM and minimum 16Mb RAM and 420 Mb hard drive. Prices start at just £50. The cheapest way to get an upgradable RiscPC. We usually have RISC OS 3.6/7 and 710 processor upgrades available for these machines.
  
  
• RiscPC 700.   Series 3 (latest) motherboard, ATAPI CD ROM and minimum 24Mb RAM and 1 MB VRAM. Minimum 1.2Gb hard drive. This is probably the best starting point if you want a low cost machine that is capable of being upgraded to the latest spec as your pocket allows. Prices start at just £65.
  If you want a higher spec machine then we can upgrade these units with more RAM, Strong ARM, RISC OS 4, bigger hard drive, CD writer, fast IDE i/face, whatever you want.
  
  
• Strong ARM RiscPC.   Various configurations available from 'basic' with RISC OS 3.7, SA 233 processor, 40Mb RAM, CD ROM, 3.2 Gb hard drive, etc. up to machines with large hard drive, CD writer, 2 slices, even APDL fast IDE interface. Prices start at around £129.
  
  
• A7000+.   All machines have CD ROM. Most have 1.2Gb hard drive and 16Mb RAM. Prices from just £40. Not always available so please do call or email first.
  
  
• A3020   From just £5. Actually, they're free, it's just that I charge £5 for checking it over before it's sent to make sure it's all working properly. All machines have 4Mb RAM, some might even have a hard drive (pot luck). Not always available so please contact us before ordering.

All the above machines are complete with mouse, keyboard and power lead except the A3020s which come without a mouse. Carriage is extra at cost, typically about £13. Some machines may have school name and/or postcode etched into the case.

Monitors

We have various secondhand monitors including Acorn AKF60/65, the standard 14" monitor as supplied with the RiscPC and A7000 models. These cost £12 plus carriage or just £5 plus carriage when purchased with a computer.

We can also supply new monitors, both CRT and TFT. We do not normally list these or keep large numbers in stock as they are generic PC items but if you do want a monitor we will try our best to help.
