Since the 15th century North Cape has been a destination for travellers searching the adventure of visiting the end of Europe.
North Cape is the northern border of the civilisation.

The name Knyskanes was the original name of the cape - but that was untill the british captain Stephen Borough sailed along the coast in 1553 searching for the northeastern passage to China.
