: : my child got hurt on one of the Mcdonalds playgrounds. She required 4 surgeries so far, 2 more for sure that I know of. Has anyone else's shild been hurt or know of anyone? I don't think the design is safe, especially the matting!: Reply: Maybe if you would have supervised your child more closely while she was playing this wouldn't have happened. Don't you think that as her parent, you are the person responsible for what happens to her?
Joe, you are 100% right that as a parent I am responsible, however, my daughter was at Mcdonalds that evening with another mother and 2 children, she was watching them, watched them climb into the "gerbal cage", however given the design of the structure, once your child ascends into the tubes, you can not get to them (as most adults are taller than the 4 ft. high 'cap'), nor can you control the excited and rambunctous behavior of someone else's child that happens to be in the tubes with your child at the same time!!! My daughter came down the slide in an orderly manner, two children then came barreling down it together, catapulting her form the structure with out haveing a chance to get out of their way!!! Unless it is your parental policy to keep your children on very short leashes and never allow them out of your arm's length, we as a society need to rely on others to raise their children in a manner that teaches them to be repectful of others and to watch what they are doing so that they don't injure someone else!!
My daughter's first ? was did anyone else get hurt, too, she's a sensitive and compassionate person Joe, you are a uninformed opinionated insensitive $#%$^&&*. As her parent I am trying to not only care for her immediate needs but to see if other children have also been hurt and then if so get the problem corrected so that no one else ever has to endure what my very brave daughter has had to. Politics aside, Hillary was onto something when she said "it takes a village..." Remain in your ant hill Joe, the rest of us need you, but don't need your shit!!!
