  8. OVERVIEW
  9. This conference is a moderated forum for discussion of issues
  10. concerning MYSTIC bbs and related third-party software.  Conferees
  11. can ask questions of the author of MYSTIC, and many of the 
  12. experienced users in the conference.  This conference is 
  13. available both as a FTSC echo, and as a mailling list.
  14. RESTRICTIONS/GUIDELINES FOR POSTING
  15. 1.  This is NOT a forum for bashing of any software product.  From
  16. time to time comparisons of MYSTIC BBS to other BBS software may
  17. take place, but always in the spirit of comparison and mutual
  18. education.
  19. 2.  This forum is NOT a place to advertise products and services
  20. that are not directly related to MYSTIC BBS and associated 
  21. third-party products.  Under no circumstances are ads 
  22. allowed which do not fit into this scheme!  This 
  23. specifically includes but is not limited to MLM, 
  24. 900-numbers, or typical "get rich"-type ads.  You may 
  25. immediately lose your access without warning for
  26. posting such material.
  27. 3.  Because of the ease in subscribing to the mydtic-l mailling list,
  28. the moderators reserve the right to immediately terminate any
  29. subsriptions to the list, and or access via the MYSTIC echo, to
  30. those users, who either by configuration errors, or willfull
  31. infractions of the rules may cause the signal to noise radio
  32. in the conference to deteriorate.
  33. 4.  Let the moderator(s) do the moderating.  If you have a problem
  34. with anyone's attitude or message content, do not engage in any
  35. personal attacks or regulation - take such complaints to the
  36. moderators as listed below:

  40. 5.  The material posted herein, unless otherwise acknowledged,
  41. remains the property of the moderators, as does this conference.
  42. No cross-posting, compilation, reprinting or retransmitting of
  43. messages in this forum to any other medium is allowed unless
  44. specifically granted by either of the moderators.
  45. 6.  It is strictly off-topic for any individual to post personal
  46. information (addresses, telephone numbers, financial data etc.)
  47. on another participant without his/her permission.
  48. 5.  We endeavor to minimize censorship and fully support ones'
  49. freedom of expression on this echo - however do not test the
  50. limits of what you can get away with saying if it is
  51. inappropriate or designed to annoy other participants.
  52. HELPFUL SUGGESTIONS
  53. 1.  Please remember that this is an INTERNATIONAL conference and
  54. is widely distributed.  You might be in Los Angeles and
  55. want to know a reputable source for bulk diskettes - don't post
  56. a message saying "Where can I get disks?"; instead qualify
  57. where you are located in the message in order to avoid
  58. confusion and inappropriate responses.
  59. 2.  One objective of this forum is to serve as a source where
  60. existing users and potential users of MYSTIC can share information.
