  2. My mom fixed this all the time and it's one of my favorites.

  5. I%1, lb, round steak, cut in very thin strips
  6. I%2, T, salad oil
  7. I%10 3/4, oz, beef broth, (one regular can)
  8. I%1 1/2, c, celery, sliced
  9. I%1, med, sweet green pepper, cut in strips
  10. I%1, lg, onion, thinly sliced
  11. I%1 1/2, c, mushrooms, fresh and sliced
  12. I%1/2, c, green onions, 1 inch pieces
  13. I%1, T, soy sauce
  14. I%1, T, corn starch
  15. I%1/4, c, water
  16. I%5, c, white rice, cooked

  19. R%     Put the salad oil in a large skillet and heat.  Brown the steak
  20. R%     in the hot oil.
  21. R%     Add the beef broth, vegetables, and the soy sauce.
  22. R%     Cover and simmer for 10 minutes or until tender.  Stir often.
  23. R%     Combine the water and the corn starch.  Stir into the mixture.
  24. R%     Cook and continue stirring until the sauce has thickened.
  25. R%     Cook the rice.
  26. R%     Serve over hot rice.
