Barnaby Killam is an artist whose current practice encompasses photography, film, painting, and performance. He was born in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1975, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in 1997.
Scope and content
The work, entitled "Welcome to Vancouver," by Barnaby Killam, 1997, consists of an assemblage in mixed media, composed of a plastic ziploc bag containing a die-cut card box with a photoprint of part of a painting by Killam, and within the box a 'mac-tac' covered card folder containing an electronic component operative when the folded card is opened.
