Grant Arnold is an associate curator at the Vancouver Art Gallery, born in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, in 1955. He studied at the University of Saskatchewan, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree, at the Banff School of Fine Arts, receiving a Senior Diploma in Visual Communications, and at the University of British Columbia, where he received a Master of Arts degree in Art History. In 1996, with Monika Kin Gagnon and Doreen Jensen, he was one of three curators for the exhibition "topographies: aspects of recent B.C. art" presented by the Vancouver Art Gallery from September 1996 to January 1997.

The collection consists of a catalogue for the exhibition "topographies: aspects of recent B.C. art" Vancouver: Vancouver Art Gallery, 1996, 163 pages, a video tape recording "topographies: aspects of recent B.C. art" a documentary, photocopies of correspondence (with severed personal information) addressed to Arnold as a curator for the exhibition, a photocopy of page 47 of the Georgia Straight, October 31, 1996, "Exhibit an Exercise in Inclusiveness," by Robin Laurence, and page 64 of the Georgia Straight, September 4, 1997, with pencil annotation underlining a section of "Modernist Masters, Munch, and Browser Boxes" by Robin Laurence: "["New Vancouver Moderns" a forthcoming exhibition at the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery] proposes 'a polemic of excellence' in opposition to recent, all-inclusive, regional shows such as topographies and ["Browser"]...."
