Sean Alward is a mixed media artist born in Calgary, Alberta, in 1968. He studied at the Cooper Union in New York, and at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1992.
Scope and content
The work consists of a carrot embedded in plastic, 7 x 4.5 x 22.5 cm, signed and dated by Sean Alward, a clear plastic folder which contains a statement by Alward, a colour photocopy of a colour photograph of the same carrot, and a receipt for purchase of the carrot, 1997.
