  19. If you log on as a user without the necessary privileges to create a
  20. printer on a particular share, instead of getting an "access denied"
  21. message, you receive a message that says the port name is invalid.

  23. CAUSE

  26. This behavior may be caused by an incorrectly mapped error message.
  27. The correct message should be "access denied."

  29. RESOLUTION

  32. Log on to an account with the proper privileges to create a printer
  33. from the given share.

  38. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version
