  19. While trying to browse a server in File Manager in Windows NT, you
  20. may receive the following error message.
  21.  
  22.    Network Name Cannot Be Found.
  23.  
  24. CAUSE
  25. =====
  26.  
  27. This error can be caused by typing "\\<servername>\"--without the
  28. quotation marks--(for example, "\\westlab\") in the Path box of the
  29. Connect Network Drive dialog box. You cannot enter a a trailing
  30. backslash (\) after the server name.
  31.  
  32. The trailing backslash is used when browsing in Windows for
  33. Workgroups, but this method is not available in Windows NT.

  35. RESOLUTION
  36. ==========

  38. To eliminate this error message, remove the trailing backslash from the
  39. server name (for example, "\\westlab").
  40.  
  41. Steps to Reproduce Problem
  42. --------------------------

  44. 1. Open File Manager from the Main group.
  45.  
  46. 2. Select Disk and choose Connect Network Drive.
  47.  
  48. 3. Enter a server name in the Path box as follows:

  52. 4. Choose OK.

  54. You will receive the above error message.
