- SYMPTOMS
- ========
-
- The Windows NT Remote Access Services port monitoring utility (RASMON)
- does not use the Windows NT International application programming
- interface (API) to determine the format for information it displays.
- This may lead to confusion when reading information for Transmit (TX),
- Receive (RX), or other RAS statistics.
-
- Windows NT supports International API so applications can determine
- which language Windows NT is configured for. Using this information,
- applications can format output correctly according to the currently
- installed language. RASMON, however, does not use the International
- API to determine the correct language installed and does not format
- its output accordingly. For example, RASMON will always use a comma
- (,) as a thousands separator even though the French thousands
- separator should be a space.
