  19. The Windows NT Remote Access Services port monitoring utility (RASMON)
  20. does not use the Windows NT International application programming
  21. interface (API) to determine the format for information it displays.
  22. This may lead to confusion when reading information for Transmit (TX),
  23. Receive (RX), or other RAS statistics.
  24.  
  25. Windows NT supports International API so applications can determine
  26. which language Windows NT is configured for. Using this information,
  27. applications can format output correctly according to the currently
  28. installed language. RASMON, however, does not use the International
  29. API to determine the correct language installed and does not format
  30. its output accordingly. For example, RASMON will always use a comma
  31. (,) as a thousands separator even though the French thousands
  32. separator should be a space.

  37. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1
  38. and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this
  39. problem and will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge
  40. Base as it becomes available.
