- You can still create program items in Program Manager even though a
- restriction against creating them has been set.

- Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT and Windows NT
- Advanced Server version 3.1. This problem was corrected in the latest U.S.
- Service Pack for Windows NT and Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. For
- information on obtaining the Service Pack, query on the following word in
- the Microsoft Knowledge Base (without the spaces):

- If you want to restrict users from creating program items in Program
- Manager, you can set restrictions by using either a) the User Profile
- Editor in Windows NT Advanced Server, or b) the Registry Editor in
- Windows NT.

- However, after you set the proper restrictions, users can still create
- program items by holding down the ALT key and double-clicking the
- white space in a program group.
