=======================================================================
You've finished your ground school. You've finished your flight school.
It's time to SOLO and be PWEESKOOL's newest graduate! Can you do it?
It's a gray day, not especially the best to fly alone the first time.
You will try to fly a tight left-leg traffic pattern, in the
traditional Cessna Skylane RGII.
To Begin: Select mode PWEESKOOL SOLO, and hit the PrtScrn Key twice quickly.
========= (If you don't see the yellow taxiway lines, you'll need to load
the PWEESKOO.SC1 scenery file by command.)
It's important to hit the PrtScrn key twice, otherwise you might
have a LOT of turbulance while you fly. Maybe you'd like it?
You'be be whisked to beautiful Concord Californa, and the little GA facility,
Concord Buchanan, near where I work. In fact, you can see the tall, blue and
red building where I work (it's really gray!) as you thread your way out to
Runway 32R.
When you want to communicate, tap the C key. But don't overdo it, the tower
has lots other things to do, besides worry about YOU!
There are a lot comm and VOR radial changes, so be sure to have a pencil
and paper (a real world pilot would have a grease pencil!). If you miss an
instruction, you can might be able to contact control again by tapping
the C key again. Remember--this is a busy place, so be alert.
Flight Plan:
===========
Takeoff runway 32R, climbout on course 318.
Intercepting SI VOR 288, left turn to course 217.
Intercepting SI VOR 308, left turn to course 127, fly SI VOR 310.
Passing off 310, left turn to course 37.
Approaching SI VOR 300, left turn for final on 318.
Flight time: approximately 12 minutes.
Thanks to Ken Fugate for the original scenery. BUT, unfortunately, it
conflicts with the PWEESKOO.SC1 library. When you start PWEESKOOL SOLO,
and you don't see the yellow taxiway lines, you'll know you have the problem.
Simply rename Ken's CAACCRKF.SC1 library to a meaningful name, like
CAACCRKF.SCV, or something. Likewise, if you don't have CAACCRKF.SC1,
and you get it, PWEESKOO.SC1 might conflict with that! FS has a tendency
to load the oldest scenery from the disk FAT (in the same area) first.
BTW, you'll need about 15K of static scenery area, defined in you ASD
config file. (See pg 9 of your ASD manual for more info.)
This was my first attempt at using the new SEE01 Special Effects
Editor submitted here by Laemming Wheeler. Thanks Laemming, I had a
lot of fun doing this! And boy, do I have a lot to learn!
