  1. GLOWING GHOST
  2.  
  3. YOU'LL NEED:
  4. One 45-inch square of fabric or a pillowcase
  5. Crayons or markers
  6. Scissors
  7. 1 large paper bag
  8. Fabric paint or tempera paint
  9. Extra-tacky white crafts glue or white crafts glue
  10. Beads, buttons, glitter, or sequins
  11. 1 hat or headband
  12.  
  13. STEP 1
  14. First put the fabric over your head.  Have an adult carefully mark eye holes with a crayon.  Then take the fabric off your head and use scissors to cut out the eye holes.

  16. Fold the fabric into a triangle with the eyes in the front.  And put a paper bag between the 2 layers of fabric.

  18. STEP 2
  19. Use fabric paint to draw a face on the front of the fabric.  If you like, draw a design on the fabric, too.

  22. For the costume decorations, glue beads onto the fabric.

  24. To wear the costume, place the fabric over your head.  Hold it in place by wearing a hat or headband. Boooo! You've made a glowing ghost.

  27. SOME COOL IDEAS:
  28. Be sure to have an adult help you do this project. Take these extra precautions to ensure a safe and fun event:
  29. -- Mark and cut all holes before wearing the costume.
  30. -- Cut all holes larger than you think you need. A bigger hole will ensure kids can see safely.
  31. -- Make sure to create holes for a child to breathe through (nose and mouth).
  32. -- Do not tie the costume in place. Ties could get caught and harm the child.
