Bruce Thomas took the crowds through
the improvements Todd made on
GEOPublish through a tutorial on the
capabilities of the program.
He also demoed a collection of GEOS
games produced in Germany.
These programs are available with
English documentation on his GEOS
Specific CD-ROM.

Eric Kudzin demonstrated an ATM
training unit he rescued from a
dumpster. Only later did he discover
that the innards consisted of a C-64,
and the cartridge program was in
BASIC!
Jeri Ellsworth brought us up to date
on her C1 drama. The unit Dave Witmer
has in the lexan case now runs in
monochrome and still needs disk
access. She is working for a company
in L.A. that makes Programmable CPUs
(right up her alley with the C1), and
commutes to southern California from
her home in Portland, OR, as needed
for consultation. Unfortunately, the
company has not paid her recently. On
the other hand, Jeri has not released
the files of her work -- so something
will be worked out.

After her presentation, Jeri was
approached by Eric, who got down on
his knee before her and offered her a
small jewelery box -- containing SID
chips. He had etched off the tops of
three different versions of SID, and
publicly proposed that she...get
photomicrographs of them.

She said, "Yes!"
Ah -- techno-love!
Maurice brought his new HDDOS+ hard
drive to show. The new operating
system allows using large capacity
drives and offers extra features such
as print spooling. The units are not
quite ready but will be available
soon.

And Jim Butterfield was present,
bringing more Commodore Legend and
Lore to the faithful. He did a
"fingers-on" demo showing how the C-64
system is easily manipulated. With a
few POKES, he changed the READY prompt
to BANANA, turned POKE to PUKE and
LIST to LUST. Then with just one more
POKE (that is, PUKE), all was back to
normal.
