  4. This Desert Template was created using the Times Atlas of  the  
  5. World, 1991.  From Plate 3, a parameter file was defined to cover
  6. the warm desert areas (BWh) of northern Africa, Saudi Arabia, 
  7. central Australia and the eastern USA.

  9. This file encompasses most areas delimited in the Atlas as 
  10. belonging to this climatic area.  However, no responsibility is 
  11. accepted for predictions made about species distributions using 
  12. this file without any modifications.  This template was created as a 
  13. template only, to be used as a guideline for generating specific 
  14. species' parameter files.  It is not meant to reflect the distribution of 
  15. any species in particular.
