- Since Franchise Basketball seems to be growing in version numbers, I thought
- I would include this textfile to explain what the differences are in
- different versions. First let me say that the upgrades versions like 1.20
- to 1.21 to 1.22 are only minor bug fixes and time saving changes. More
- large scale changes would be seen in a 1.10 to 1.20 type upgrade, and major
- game play changes, feel and several added options would be a 1.00 to 2.00
- change.
-
- 1.00 Spring-Summer 1995, basic game, never issued as a wide release, the
- game was held to improve the playability, stats, and options.
-
- 1.10 November 3, 1995, the first day of the NBA season, the game was
- released to the public, with Front Office, Player Trades, Playoffs,
- Free Agent Pool, etc.
-
- 1.11 November 6, 1995, a revision was issued to add the .CFG file setup
- for non-standard systems, etc. The config file proved to be vital
- to the ease of setup.
-
- 1.20 January 1, 1996, several features were added, including menu hotkeys,
- EMail, new season statistics screens and stats, League Settings were
- moved from the Main Menu to the Instruction Menu. Multi-Node support
- was added.
-
- 1.21 January 4, 1996, a small bug in the EMail system was corrected and
- the updated version released.
-
- 1.22 January 24, 1996, slight bug in the Free Agents segment that forced
- users to drop carrier if they tried to view a free agent when none
- were there, and a multi-node glitch that caused problems when two
- users drafted their teams at the same time were fixed.
-
- 1.23 March 1, 1996, fixed problem in the Bench A Starter routine, if a
- non-starter was selected, the game allowed you to put an "extra"
- person into the starting lineup. Fixed a lockup problem at the
- initial login (was only reported on a small number of systems).
- Added a better schedule generator, and an option in the Scores
- and Highlights section that lists a teams season schedule.
