  84. contains data that HTPM supplies.  You can view
  85. this data, but you can't change it.

  90. form for a task that's not a
  91. milestone.  First, return to the
  92. PERT chart.

  109. Like the milestone form, this task form contains
  110. fields you can change (you see them now at the
  111. top of the form) and fields that HTPM calculates.

  113. You can change some of the same information:
  114. the task name, the person responsible.  You can
  115. add a code and description, too.

  119. But this task form contains some information not found
  120. on a milestone form.  For example, HTPM assumes that
  121. the task will start as soon as possible.  (Note the
  122. ~ASAP~2 in the ~Pln start~2 field.)  You can change
  123. this default.  In addition, you can add the actual
  124. start and finish for the task.  You can include some
  125. cost information here, too.

  129. The information you see now at the bottom of the
  130. form is calculated by HTPM.  You can view this
  131. information, but you can't change it.

  135. HTPM has already filled in some data about this task,
  136. such as its planned start and finish.  But the cost
  137. information (at the very bottom of the form) can't be
  138. calculated until you supply more data.

  142. You'll use the milestone and task forms to specify
  143. information about individual tasks.  To include data
  144. about the whole project, you'll use the project form.

  166. when creating the project from the work breakdown
  167. structure.  HTPM calculates ~Planned finish~2 from

  172. To track project costs in a later lesson, we'll add 
  173. the planned overhead cost for the project to this form.

  175. Start by moving the cursor to the ~Pln overhead cost~2
  176. field.

  180. Overhead costs, which include such expenses as
  181. rent and utilities, are fixed costs for the whole
  182. project, not individual tasks.   For HiTech, let's
  183. change the overhead costs to $6000.

  187. When the project is complete, we can include actual
  188. overhead costs in the ~Act overhead cost~2 field.  But
  189. for now, we'll leave this field and the rest of this
  190. form as it is.

  194. The information HTPM displays at the bottom of the
  195. project form is similar to that of the task form --
  196. in this case, it's for the entire project, not an
  197. individual task.

  201. The last three lines of the form show cost informa-
  202. tion for the entire project.  HTPM has filled in the
