- │ Lesson 4: Work breakdown │
- └────────────────────────────────────────────────┘
-
- In this lesson you'll:
-
- ■ create a basic structure, called
- the work breakdown, for your project
-
- ■ see how HTPM converts the work
- breakdown structure to a PERT chart

- With HTPM, you can begin planning your
- project in any of several different ways.
-
- In this lesson, we'll start planning
- with a ~work breakdown structure~2. It's a
- common method for dividing a project into
- its major components and then dividing
- the components into tasks.

- Planning for the Expo involves three
- major parts. Each part of the plan is
- made up of several tasks, such as these:
-
- ■ Booth -- plan, build, pack, ship, and
- set up
-
- ■ Staff -- recruit and train
-
- ■ Materials -- order, pack, and ship
-
- We'll put a few of these tasks into the
- work breakdown structure.
