U zult hier allerlei programmatips aantreffen. Om de tips uit te zetten dient U te klikken op de zwarte X in de linker kantlijn. U kunt ze vervolgens weer aanzetten via het View menu.
; About Profiles
;Second Copy maintains information about "what to copy", "where to copy" and "when to copy" in a "Profile".
Second Copy gebruikt een zogenaamde "Profile" om te onthouden wat er gecopieerd moet worden ("What?"), waarheen het gecopieerd moet worden ("Where?") en wanneer dit gebeuren moet ("When?").
; literal translation: SC uses a so-called "Profile" to remember what needs to be copied ("What?"), to where it should be copied ("Where?") and when this needs to occur ("When?").
;Second Copy compares files in the source and destination folders and compares their timestamps to see which files have changed. Then it copies only the new or changed files.
Second Copy vergelijkt bestanden in de "source" en "destination" folders door te kijken naar de datum en tijd waarop ze voor het laatst gewijzigd zijn. Uitsluitend nieuwe of gewijzigde bestanden worden gecopieerd.

U kunt het Second Copy log bestand bekijken door te klikken op de "Show Log" knop of door "Log..." te selecteren in het View menu.
;If there was an error during the last copy process you will see a red E on the profile icon. It will get reset next time the profile completes successfully.
Een rode "E" naast een Profile ikoon betekent dat er een fout ("Error") optrad tijdens de laatste kopieeraktie.

;To reset an error icon, right click on a profile and select Reset error flag.

U kunt een nieuw Profile aanmaken door bestanden of folders van de Explorer te slepen naar Second Copy.

Door met de rechter muisknop te klikken op een Profile krijgt U een keuzemenu.

U kunt schijfruimte besparen door bestanden te komprimeren. Deze optie treft U aan bij het aanmaken van een nieuwe Profile onder "Custom setup" in de sectie "How".

; To temporarily disable a periodic profile, right click on it and set it to manual. To resume schedule, right click on the profile again and uncheck the manual flag.
Om tijdelijk een periodieke Profile uit te schakelen, kunt U erop klikken met de rechter muisknop waarna U het Profile op "Manual Schedule" dient te zetten. Om het Profile weer te activeren, dient U op dezelfde manier de "Manual Schedule" instelling weer uit te zetten.

Om Second Copy te beeindigen, dient U rechts te klikken op het Second Copy ikoon aan de rechter kant van de startbalk en vervolgens "Exit" te kiezen.

U kunt zien welke bestanden op dit moment gekopieerd worden door de muis boven de blauwe Voortgangsindicatorbalk te plaatsen.

; To view details of all profiles in the main window click the Details button on the toolbar.
