- I heard the story at Caltech in Spring 1975. Feynman was never mentioned --
- it concerned a geology final with a grad student lugged in. The story is
- somewhat plausable, given that (a) Caltech students are famous for pranks and
- (b) open-book exams are quite common there.

- If anyone wants to trace this back in hopes of finding an actual event, I can
- provide the name of the math TA we called "Father Captain Doctor". (A Novitiate
- in ROTC completing his PhD in Math).
