- I THINK THAT "LIE GROUP GERM" IS VERY CLOSE TO A TERMINOLOGY THAT IS USED
- IN BOURBAKI'S ENGLISH-LANGUAGE VOLUME ON LIE GROUPS AND LIE ALGEBRAS. IT
- MEANS ABOUT WHAT JOHN EXPECTS IT TO MEAN, OF COURSE, BUT IT'S HANDLED IN A
- VERY TECHNICAL WAY FOR SOME REASON. (PERHAPS SO AS TO BE APPLICABLE TO THE
- P-ADIC CASE, OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT.)
