  14. Was there any further followup in the newspapers on the two problems at
  15. New York (the "false start" and the blockage of the 3rd place finisher),
  16. for example, by Joe Concannon of the Boston Globe?

  18. Both problems have occurred in other races (for example, the duel between
  19. Salazar and Durden at Boston in, umm, 1982 or thereabouts when Durden was
  20. blocked off by a gaggle of motorcycle policemen "accompaning" Salazar to
  21. the finish).  New York has a horrible logistical problem due to the size
  22. of the field and the three-level start.
