- This seems to be a Mazda thing. As far as reverse goes anyway. I have
- a 1992 Probe (Mazda drivetrain) and sometimes have a hard time getting
- it into reverse. Usually a touch in first will fix it. A friend has
- a 1988 RX-7 with the same problem. I noticed that someone else posted
- that he has the problem with his 1991 Protege as well. Yet none of us
- seem to have a problem with first. I (and my friend) sometimes find
- that shifting into second, under heavy acceleration, doesn't always work
- as smooth as it should. I've missed more shifts going to second than I
- have missed going to third.
