  36. This seems to be a Mazda thing.  As far as reverse goes anyway.  I have
  37. a 1992 Probe (Mazda drivetrain) and sometimes have a hard time getting
  38. it into reverse.  Usually a touch in first will fix it.  A friend has
  39. a 1988 RX-7 with the same problem.  I noticed that someone else posted
  40. that he has the problem with his 1991 Protege as well.  Yet none of us
  41. seem to have a problem with first.  I (and my friend) sometimes find
  42. that shifting into second, under heavy acceleration, doesn't always work
  43. as smooth as it should.  I've missed more shifts going to second than I
  44. have missed going to third.
