- This just started occurring after I patched up to PL#58 (beta patch
- kit). I'm using Julian's SCSI drivers with the adaptec 1742A.
-
- Now the symptom is that any I/O I do to the floppies causes my system
- to reboot (not panic, not wedge, but RESET) shortly after the floppy
- I/O in question has completed. E.g.:
-
- # mdir B:
- (see contents of floppy B perfectly fine)
- # (2 second pause during which nothing is touched... RESET).
-
- The funny thing is, I saw this once before and managed to "fix" it simply
- by cleaning and remaking the world. This no longer works.
-
- HELP! I use mtools on floppies as a major "small stuff" transport
- medium and I'm now hosed. I also can't use this kernel on a fixit
- floppy since that floppy will then never boot (I've tried this, just
- to see how extensive the problem is).
