  37. In the meanwhile we did what we should have done first: We
  38. tried it :). It seems that the SGI hardware is even better 
  39. than the people at SGI think :)). The video cable is about 
  40. 60m now, and the keyboard cable is even longer. Everything 
  41. just seems to work fine! We also had a Personal Iris directly
  42. attached to the video projector. We weren't able to observe
  43. a real difference in the quality of the resulting projection.

  45. The only thing that still bothers me (I'm not an electrical 
  46. engineer): Someone told me that the long cables might wear 
  47. out the driver chips of the interfaces. Is there someone who 
  48. can comment on this?
