- How about the stylewriter? Even the most expensive places sell it for
- less than $400. True it's slow. Another inexpensive ink-jet is the HP
- DeskWriter. You might be able to find a QuickDraw-only laser printer for
- $800. A comparison of personal printers was given in the (now somewhat dated)
- September MacWORLD. GCC Technologies had some of the lowest prices, though I
- wasn't able to find an actual (street) price in ads from mail order companies
- like Mac Depot. Don't take this post as a recommendation, but do check out
- the magazine's review... the GCC PLP II series printers got the "Editor's
- Choice" over the Apple LaserWriter LS.
