- As a self-espoused COD orderer I like to follow up to these type posts.
- Okay, how is it an advantage in this case? If I'd ordered this video
- card COD this is what would have happened.
-
- 1. Delivery guy arrives.
- 2. I check the contents of the order
- 3. I see that they sent a video card I don't want.
- 4. I send the delivery guy away without giving him any money.
-
- The only thing the credit card company helps you do is get the money
- back that's already gone. With COD, it's not gone and you don't need
- the help.
-
- Once again I will insert my standard disclaimer that there are two
- situations in which I agree a credit card can be a better deal:
-
- 1. Cards that offer a price guarantee (they'll refund the difference
- if you find the same thing cheaper later).
- 2. Cards that offer automatic extended warranties at no extra charge.
-
- I may add to the list above, but I'm not going to add the case
- described here, because using a credit card didn't help anything that
- couldn't have been avoided by going COD in the first place.
