- I'm about to buy an ISA 486/33 from a local clown vendor. However,
- I do plan to get a videocard from them also, or maybe I could go to
- mail-order to buy it. I've around 250$-300$ (maximum) to put on a
- accelerated card (in Canadian bills, so around 225$ to 275$ US). Someone
- pointed me to the Diamond SpeedStar 24x as the fastest of its class and
- PC Connection sells it for 179$ (pretty good price). However, I heard
- that you cannot drive OS/2 in bigger resolutions (like 1024x768x256)
- with it. Am I true? I do plan to use OS/2 alot, along Windows and DOS. So I
- want something good in every field. Is the ATI Ultra smarter choice despite
- the fact its slower?
-
- Is there any other alternatives?
