  13. I am looking for a remote (infra-red or otherwise) serial link for 
  14. connecting two computers.

  16. In other words, I want to be able to exchange data between two computers
  17. without having a physical wire connecting them, because one of the
  18. computers is on a wheelchair and moves around, and the user is unable to
  19. connect or disconnect a cable himself.

  21. Is such a link possible?  I would be grateful for any information on
  22. suppliers, circuit diagrams, reasons why it can't be done, or any other
  23. ideas.

  25. I want to keep it fairly simple - a radio modem would be a bit over
  26. the top I think.  It only needs to operate at 2400 bps over a range of
  27. 1 or 2 metres.
