  20. As a sales person that actually has to sell the machines to customers
  21. I can tell you that it is hard to tell a customer that it doesn't have
  22. a high density drive and then to tell them it's a better machine than a clone.
  23. I have to start making excuses.  And then when they say "well, can I have
  24. you put one in it?" I have to tell them no becouse Commodore won't sell me
  25. the drive by itself.

  27. Lets just say that it *has* made me loose sales becouse people don't think
  28. the Amiga is keeping up with the competition.

  30. And the HD drive can't add over $100 to the cost of the machine... I know
  31. pleanty of people that would have *gladly* laid dow annother $100 for a
  32. HD drive... just becouse that's what everyone else has.

  34. CBM should seriously consider shipping the 1200 with an HD drive in the
  35. US... I think they would gain more sales from having the HD drive than the
  36. extra cost would loose.

  38. Besides?  What market research went into the decision to have a low density
  39. drive???  You *certainly* didn't ask us which would sell better!!!!

  41. If marketing has any questions, maybe they should ask their dealers before
  42. they decide whats best for them.
