- /* Second try - first one had a strange Subject line. */
-
- As always, I have to apologise in advance if this is yet another in a
- long line of questions asked by dorks. Question: Why can't non-root users
- use the system after they log in.
-
- I am running SLS 0.97 (pl1, I think)
-
- When I create a new user, and then try and log in as that user I get
-
- shell-init: Permission denied
- : Permission denied
-
- the startup shell for this user is /bin/bash, and /bin/bash has world
- read and execute permissions. /bin has world execute and read access.
-
- This problem has only just arisen after reinstalling some of the SLS
- disks fixed by Peter Macdonald. I know I'm missing something blindingly
- obvious, but what is it?
